loved how the guy who's organised it all kept bawling through the solos. too cute! a nice counterpoint to the reality tv singing show judges who prefer to use the post-solo ambience to abuse teenage girls about the size of their bellies.

All is not lost #2, its a 6 part series; 5 more to go.

The girl with the long clean hair has a lovely distinctive voice.

And the poor schizophrenic at the end. He must have had a nice voice once upon a time but couldn't articulate the words due to what exactly: I suspect its not the meds, as suggested by the narrator, but some street drug or other, cause i don't think medication has that effect.

And its lovely how much effort they are all putting in to getting it together so that they can particpate in this project. The big trick, I suppose, will be keeping them all on the straight and narrow for long enough to get the job done.

the shaky guy? he only shook while singing. seemed fine when he stopped. don't know what drug would make you selectively shake. if he is mentally ill then maybe it's just an issue of anxiety that causes the shaking. hell, i'm not mentally ill, but i shake when i'm extremely nervous. doesn't happen often but when it does, it's really obvious. violent shivering, teeth chattering and everything. i put it down to adrenalin. it's a fairly gut-level fear response.

Alcohol makes you shake. I think people get the shakes when they are in withdrawals from something, don't they? I shake when i'm extremely nervous too but i was talking about the way he slurred his words. Maybe that was nervousness too.

see he was the one that had me sobbing. The song is not supposed to be sung perfectly - ok Jeff Buckley did - but it was the wavering voice that had me hooked

i just thought it was telling that he didn't tremor or slur the moment he stopped singing. either or. i guess my point is that like his audience, he seemed very affected by the singing of the song too.

So i just created this account to say this:

Choir of Hard Knocks is easily the most emotional doco ive ever seen. Its purely amazing.

Ive been telling all my friends to watch it. lol.

And yes, the schizophrenic guy, had me tearing up as well. And i would love to know his name, even just his first name would be great.

Its changed my whole perspective of homeless people. I would love to buy the DVD if it ever came out.

Anyway, thats it from me, thanks guys!
