Accommodation Resort Options - Patong

I will be going to Thailand in August and require assistance with names of resort hotels located directly in Patong. Initially I was looking at the Holiday Inn but it is booked out. Can you please advise me of some other names of resorts that are in walking distance from Patong city. My main aim is to try to avoid having to take taxis and public transport in and out of the main region and for me to stay at a reputable place and still be close to all the activity. If you know the websites to accommodation options you suggest they would also be appreciated.

Thank you.

The main activities in Patong are shopping, bad massages with happy endings and bargirls.

Unless you want the above no point staying there.

Instead of designing yourself to fit the world, you can design a life to fit your abundant gifts

When I went to Phuket for the first time I went resort style and stayed at Burasari. It was fabulous. Take a look at their website and if you're interested - go for one of the pool access rooms.

rrrjjjmmm, i checked out the website for burasari and it looks inviting. How far ahead do you recommend booking, coz my friend and i won't be booking until a week or two before hand or at least just before we leave.

Thats really odd, i made a booking to stay at the Holiday inn through Asiarooms.com last week and they had rooms available for my stay during that time.
When i went last year we stayed at Baan SukhoThai. It was fairly cheap and right on Bangla Road. It was clean and efficient. I would also recommend the Amari.
