Near Beijing rivercruise??

We are in Beijing and a time problem has stopped our trip into mongolia...
We are thinking about doing a cruise on a river nearby but havent found any information on anything like it..
We hope someone has a good experience of this kind somewhere in a 300 km radius from Beijing..

Thanks
Bille

I think what #1 is talking about are the cruises on the old Imperial canal system that connects central Beijing with the Summer Palace. It starts behind the Exhibition Center near Beijing Zoo, and goes through Purple Bamboo Park and up to the Summer Palace. It's an OK trip. I think it costs about RMB 40, don't quote me on that, though. This trip is also offered by the Chinese Culture Club www.chinesecultureclub.org

There are some boat trips (summer only) at some of the reservoirs in Beijing's outlying districts, but it might be a stretch to call this a "cruise."

Thanks for the quick replies. I was thinking something like the tours on the yangtze river near hangzhou and shanghai, but i've found it not as easy as i had hoped. I will find something else to spend my precious time on....
But Thanks...
