A travel agent in Beijing to book a train ticket to Lhasa

Hello everybody, We (friend and I) will arrive in Beijing on June 1st. We would like to know where we can book two places in the train Beijing-Lhasa which will leave Beijing on 4th or 5th June (as of now since the train is in two weeks time) ?
Anyone knows an agent in Beijing that would do that ?
We know we need a permit for Tibet but would like to go there with the minimum "tour" possible as we are willing to travel as independants (as much as possible).
Thanks to all of you for your help, Marc

Richard Tian of Ocean Travel, whose email is oceantravelcn@yahoo.com.cn or richards@public3.bta.net.cn, or one of is assistants, can probably help you get the train tickets.

Hey,

My friend is a journalist based in Beijing and has previously taken the train. He suggested to me to contact Atlas Travel, anne@atlastravel.com.cn
They should be able to get you the permit too. Good luck!!

Does anyone have any personal experience having used any of these agencies themselves? What kind of service did you get? How much did it cost? There are a lot of stories about various agencies and fake permits, waiting to the last minute and not providing the agreed upon tickets or arrangements, etc.
