Visa extension in China.

Hi everyone!

I have a little problem that I hope someone can help me out with. It is as follows:

I have a Visa (double entry, 2x30 days) but I'll be in Tibet when it expires so i need to extend it. I am now in Dunhuang and the PSB told me that they couldnt extend it before the last seven days of its validity time. Problem is that I will be in Tibet by then and I have heard that the PSB there is not the most cooperative!

So, does anyone know is that is a rule that is followed everywhere? Can I get my extension done in Beijing, more than 2 weeks before my expire date?

Cheers!

Tomas

Hi Tomas

I wouldn't risk getting an extension in Tibet and I don't think your aloud to travel there without 2 weeks left on your visa. We hung around Chengdu a week longer than we wanted to just to get our extension.

#1, can you tell us where you heard you couldnt travel in Tibet without 2 weeks remaining on your visa??

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

when are you coming out of Tibet? You just have to go to the PSB before it expires. That can be the day before. make sure though, that you are NOT LATE. You cannot extend after the date. it's a¥500 per day fine.

try it in Tibet and see what happens. I can't see why the PSB in Tibet will give you a hassle. Off the buggers a few smokes.
