Plenty of lone travellers (male and female) head to the FMP. Shouldn't be a problem meeting up with them on KPN in the days leading up to the party. Personally I think the boat (esp night boat) heading to the island is a great place to meet other single travellers too.

Long after you have gotten over the urge to mob-up with thousands of brain-dead beach cattle and well before the onset of hot chocolate early nights, there is this thing called "middle age". It aint so bad ;-)
