How far in advance does the Tibet train tickets go on sale?

I received a reply for buying train ticket that they can purchase it 4 days in advance. That's cutting too close in high season.
I am planning to travel in the end of June and want to buy the permit+ticket right now if its possible.
How far in advance does the Chinese railway start selling their tickets?

Thanks

Its 4 days, I don't think there is any way to get around this. You may be able to get a local to buy them for you but then you wouldn't have a permit, if its checked I don't know.

If you actually look like your passport photo, you aren't well enough to travel

Travel agencies can reserve tickets long before they actually go on sale.

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

Where are you going to buy the ticket? If you're buying the Guangzhou-Lhasa train ticket in Hong Kong, you can book it 1 month in advance, but you have to pay HK$100 extra.

Unless the situation changes you will not be able to get tickets any sooner than 4 days in advance. Please see the other posts regarding the current situation in tibet.

Even then there's no guarantees they can get you the tickets. Depends on the demand and how many are available to them. The 10-20 day thing changes depending on how the Railways feel at the time.
