BKK for a wk.Is it safe to go out at night clubbing?

Hi, its my frist trip to BKK, im wondering if BKK nightlife is way better than singapore so im checking it out.
I will be travelling on my own and will be staying in Swiss Park Hotel,does anyone here stayed in this budget hotel b4?

Nowhere is as safe or such a "fine" country as Singapore but the whole area around Soi 11 is pretty safe and there are number of pretty fancy (but maybe too sedate for you and maybe too farang) clubs.

Farther out, north of Sukhumvit, near Bangkok General Hospital which I think is Soi 55, is a street of real Thai clubs, where young Thais with hot cars, bodies, and clothes go to see and hear most of the newest and best.

Ask, I cannot remember the street name but it is not hard to find.

They are both pretty similar, except Singapore stays open much later and is more expensive. Apart from naked lesbain shows and ping pong ball extravaganzas the bars you find and the attitude of the 'clubbers' is qute similar in both locations.

If you can't beat em, delete em.

If you are not looking for whores and you're not skint then Singapore is a better night out IMO.
Bars and clubs of a much higher standard than anything Bangkok has to offer, and they can open later too.

Very. Anything in Nana Plaza (Sukhumvit Soi 4), Soi Cowboy, the area in between those two, Soi 33/22.. Very friendly generally.

The one place I'd avoid is Patpong; downstairs it's way too touristy, upstairs it's a waste of time/ripoff/etc.
