hey everybody

hi guys,
i have been travelling around India, Nepal and Sri Lanka since Jan, and im heading to Thailand on Saturday for three months.
Could anybody recommend a hotel to stay in for a couple of day when i arrive at the airport 6am!!! as i just need to be safe and my guard will be down for a couple of days while i adjust to the lingo, money and culture ect,
i am a single female 34 travelling alone looking for fun adventure and lots of buddha s!!! so any recommendations of guest houses around the (five pound mark) or places to see i would love to hear about them.

thank you

A friend of mine stayed at the Sukhumvit On Nut Guesthous and gave a good report. It's fairly near Suvarnabhumi, which means not so near central Bangkok, but it is close to the last stop on the Skytrain. He stayed in a dorm, but they have private rooms, too, it looks like.

It might be worth a look. Quiet and out of the tourist area, but near public transportation. As I say, I only have a second hand report, no personal experience.
