TEFL Int'l offers a four-week TESOL cert. in Phuket Town. I did it three years ago, stayed in the accomodations, got a job straight away, and still talk to the folks down there. I would reccommend it. No cons, no rip-offs, no funny business. I think the course could be better, but I also know they can be much worse. IMO, Phuket Town is much better than anything in Patong. I've heard of some real Mickey Mouse operations over there.
