onward travel

I am traveling to Thailand for 40 days. I'm not planning on getting a Thai visa because I'm going to spend a week or more in Vietnam and Cambodia. This will make my stay in Thailand under 30 days. However, my ticket departing Thailand will still show a date that is 40 days away. How should this be handled so I don't have to get a Thai Visa?

i suppose you could buy an airasia ticket on to Phnom Penh or Hanoi or elsewhere before you set off.

i should maybe point out that even if i didn't have any problems, you still might. there are post here that talk about people being refused entry. technically speaking you should have proof of onward travel. i was never asked and i don't know anyone that was either, but it can happen

You didn't mention if you were flying into Thailand. It is often the airlines that are charged with enforcing the outbound visa rules so your initial departure check-in is where you may encounter difficulty. I'd suggest checking with your airline.
It may be worth it for you to obtain a double entry visa from a Thai consulate prior to departure.

its nr 3+6 that are right and mention the imptt thingsw hcih you Failed to note: its the AIRline and also the COUNTRY where you (I assume) board your flight into Thaild. But its a very easy+cheaper to thing to simply book a single on airasia.com to VNam, or?
its EITHER ticket out (for 30-day visa-exempt for SOME westernes only!) OR any visum

so you believe anything - on the news? on TV? in your guidebook? on this forum? good luck then - you'll need it!
