taxi from HKG airport to Shenzhen

Do you know if there are special taxis/limos leaving HKG airport to Shenzhen that allow passengers to cross the chinese border while staying in the car?
Any idea of the cost?

Otherwise what would be the most convenient option for that same journey?

Cheers
Luis

Why not just take the ferry from the airport to Shekou and catch a cab from there?

Yes there is, limos or vans

no idea on cost but is expensive than the bus. Is better if several passengers sharing the cost.

Buses leave for the Huanggang border and Shenzhen airport from HK Airport, need to get off for passport controls.

You have to use a special limo / people carrier service with cross-border plates. It's the high price of cross-border licence plates that makes the service so expensive.

I think there are desks at the airport, or you could search in advance through yp.com.hk.

I don't know what the price is from the airport. But from Hong Kong Island to Bao'an (the industrial development near Shenzhen airport), it's around HK$ 800-900.

Thanks for the input, It seems it cost way more than 900 HK$ from the airport, soI might opt for the ferry. Any idea how far is Lowu from Shekou ( GF reckons is way too far and I'd better better off catching minibus as we did last time but i fancy the ferry ride)
