Shanghai PVG airport to Suzhou

Hi. We will be arriving Shanghai Pudong around noon. Is there a train/bus directly from the airport to suzhou? Or will we have to get into Shanghai proper to catch a train? If so, which train station serves the trains to Suzhou? Thanks for all of your help!

There are buses from Pudong to Suzhou that run every half hour up until around 7pm. They cost about 50 rmb. It takes about an hour and a half to get to Suzhou and th drop of point is convenient. If you're not planning to stay for a day of two in Shanghai forget the train! First you would have to get into town (bus, illegal mini van, mag lev or taxi), then you would have to find the station, then you would have to find the ticketbooth and try to comminicate your destination, then you would have to wait anywhere from 1 - 3 hours for your train. The train ride itself is nice enough and only takes about ,45 minutes, but on arrival in Suzhou you would have to fight your way through the touts to the taxi stand in order to get into town.
