China visa in Hong Kong

Is it still possible to obtain a 90-days tourist visa through travel agencies in Hong Kong? I have heard rumours that this was no longer the case.

Visitors to Hong Kong must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months after the planned departure date from Hong Kong. Nationals of most countries are not required to obtain visas and can stay for periods varying from seven days to 180 days, depending on nationality. Check with any Chinese embassy or consulate for the latest status.

Visas for Mainland China can be obtained in Hong Kong. They require one photo and usually take three working days to process. Visas can be obtained from the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong, China Travel Service (HK) Ltd, or China International Travel Service HK Ltd

I'm not sure I have worded my question properly... Is it still possible to obtain 90-day tourist visas for China through travel agencies in Hong Kong?
Thanks.

See these people.

If you get there before lunchtime you can pick it up later that day.

Everything in moderation, even moderation.

Americans cannot get 3 month visa from agents in HK. Perhaps if you are lucky, 60 from Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in HK.
agents in big cities will extend for a fee.

I am not American. Are there any problems for other nationalities? I travel with an Israeli passport.
Thanks again.

I got one (90 days) two months ago on a European passport. When and where did you hear the new information?

There have been rumours circulating on the Internet (including this website) that 90-day tourist visas were no longer issued in Hong Kong. I'm just trying to find out if there's any truth in them...
