This summer we stayed at Lhasa Hotel in Tibet. The place was the first hotel there I believe. It used to be a Holiday Inn, so if you can imagine a Holiday inn at the top of the world, there you go. The place was nice and clean, the food was nothing special but we hadnt expected anything quite nice up there. There are a lot of restaurants around there so if you dont want to stay cooped up there I would recommed getting out. There's a plus to the story. The Hotel on the Roof of the World is a very interesting book about the history of the hotel and tourism in Tibet in general. It was the reason that we even visited Tibet, if you read it, don't worry the Hotel has shaped up a LOT.4
