i will be going for a long time so dont feel safe carrying too much cash hence i think i will get some TC's (anyone know if sterling are as easy to change as dollar TC's) - i will also take a debit card but its got a high transaction fee (couldnt get the nationwide one as they mucked up my application and i only realised till too late:/)4
20 pound notes can be changed - as long as they are not ripped or in poor condition.

Take an atm card, as well as Amex TC, & Cash, The 3 different forms are good backups to each other. eg if there's a power failure, atms won't work. If your card is lost/ stolem/ damaged, you can scrape by on Travellers Cheques. Use a concealed money belt too.
