Tibet --> China: Visa?

Hi,
am sorry for another visa question about this, but can somebody please give me a clear answer:

I am coming from kathmandu overland to Lhasa (i booked a tour).
I have a group visa with just my name on for 26 days.
QUESTION: Can i travel for 26 days in china as well? I just plan to stay 10 days in tibet and want to use the other 16 days in china, Is that possible? Or do i have to buy another visa again for china?

Thank you very much for your help!

But is it possible for people with a group visa to leave China without the original group?

Yes it is possible to spend 10 days in the TAR and the remaining time in the rest of China.

#2...you must exit with the group you entered China/Tibet with (unless you change your group visa into a standard tourist visa).
