dear berry,

hello! i am planning a trip to tibet as well in jul 07 and have same interests as you guys. i am female, single traveller from singapore. i am interested in mt kailash and lake - hike for 3 days which i guess is the standard. i am also keen on those other places which you mentioned but will not continue onwards to nepal. i do want to make my way to everest base camp ... this point, i am not 100% sure how and what my travel dates are. i am aiming to be in lhasa around end of june. my email is cherylyeo25@hotmail.com - please feel free to email me.

i am currently working and living in beijing. i can speak chinese but cant write so maybe i might be of a bit use to your travel group. cheers, cheryl

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I are planning on leaving lhasa around the 7th/8th of july; trains and permits permitting! We plan to head to Kailash along a similar route (also maybe via Rongphu monestary). Then from kailash we'll go back to lhasa.

Let us know if this suits you,

Also - the camping sounds cool - we have a tent but I'm not sure it would be up to the job - it's just a cheapo one - do you have a proper mountain tent?

Take care,

Helen

Hi Helen,

Thanks for your reply. Your plan sounds great. We are also planning to travel to Lhasa by train. Leaving Lhasa
around july 8 would be fine for us. We think the camping at some nice places could be a great experience! I guess
you don't really need a real mountaintent. A good sleeping though would be recomendable :-)
We come from the Netherlands. I was in Tibet three times before, travelling and climbing. But for my girlfriend
it will be the first time.

Anyhow, please let me know if you are interested in traveling together. But I'm sure it will be a wonderfull experience.

The timing is good for 2 of us but afterwards we want to leave Tibet from the West into Xinjiang, so maybe this is not so good for you. Let us know.

Hi Berry,

I read that you are looking for travellers to share a landcruiser to Kailash. Is there still a place for a single person like me ?

My dates are totally flexible. I intend to arrive in Lhasa maybe one week earlier to visit Namtso lake. That will be my second visit to Tibet. In my previous trip I stayed around Lhasa and then shared a vehicle to EBC and the Nepalese border. It was in 1998, I fear that many things have changed since then :(

I especially like that your program is not rushed: 4 days for the kora and several other days at Manasarovar sounds great. Let me know.

Did you climb Cho Oyu ? If so, then the Kailash kora will look like an easy stroll to you.
