Lowdown on Kathmandu to Lhasa tours!

Hi,

Can someone give more of an idea of what is involved in the 8-day trips from Kathmandu to Lhasa? I have read a but about such tours but havent found any real good info on costs, travel companies etc.

I am planning on heading off from mid-November - is it going to be way too cold then?!?!?!?

Also will be travelling as a single female - any advice???

last year i've also done a trip from Lhasa to kathmandu. in november. i left the zhangmu border just like the 15th november i guess.

actually. to tell you the truth. the mid november to visit Tibet is pretty cold. also this year china 's weather is too strange. but. anyway. when it is cold. there will be fewer crowded. just like when we go to the Everest. it was as silent as it could be. affasciante!

i had a 4500 land cruiser with 3 other foreigners. a 7 days' trip from lhasa .. till the border. didn't cost too much, i guess. with all included. like 900 yuan each. it was pretty cheap. so, you see, at the low season, the price is pretty nice too.

a single female.. just like me, another single female.
it is ususally safe. and the lady will always have more privileges.. in the tibetan areas. when guys see such a girl travelling alone, they are always so kind and help you a lot. and you can get a free car.. always. haha
just take care. this is the only advice.
