Zhongdian - Llasa Overland looking join others

I'm in Dali right now and would love to go overland from Zhongdian to Llasa by jeep. Leaving from Zhongdian in a week or so (time visit here, Lijiang and get to Zhongdian).
However, I'm just 1person and wonder if there's 3others around who would like to do the same...
email me on Beth_hughes@hotmail.com if interested.
yours hopefully....

hi beth,

i might be able to join on this trip, but i have not decided yet for some couple of reasons.
Having just arrived in Kunming, it would take me take at least 12 - 14 days to get to Zhongdian, so i wouldnt be ready before end of march. I would probably apply for the permit in Dali beforehand to pick it up in Zhongdian later.
Plus, have you clarified about the weather conditions with travel agencies who arrange the trip (look lp guide for this)? I have heard that there was snowfall until 2 weeks ago? How about the price suggestions of the travel agencies in Dali?

greetings, ijong

Hi Beth,
Have you tried hanging out at Cafe de Jack on Bo Ai Lu in Dali,or put a sign in the window re your trip and talk to the owners there also.
I often see signs in the windows around there of people looking for others to team up for a Llasa trip.

Who took the cork of my lunch?.
