Bacpacking in Hong Kong /Macau

I'm travelling into Hong Kong from China on sunday 25th March and have no idea where to look for budget accomodation. I flyout from Macau on Tuesday 27th to Bangkok and i Know there is a ferry from Hong Kong to Macau, so if anyone can help with

1. Cheap hostel/backpackers accomodation somewhere in Hong Kong that is in easy reach of the ferry terminal to Macau

2. Where is the Ferry Terminal in HongKong to Macau, what's it called? Howmuch would the ferry trip be? How long it take?

any help would be mucho appreciated!

Didn't we have this post a couple of days ago?

Chungking or Mirador Manisons in TST, kowloon for cheap hostels.

If choose TST to stay, you can catch First Ferry from China Hong Kong City ferry terminal for around HK$142, taking just over one hour.

Macau is worth an afternoon before your flight if you have time.

planning ahead ...

Budget travel basics for Hong Kong (this is the only travel guide with a photo of the stairs in the Chungking Mansions - where you may be staying - but don't let the stair pic put you off - If I was a Derry lad and 24, no way I'd stay anywhere else other than CKM)
