Nepali visa

When obtaining a Nepali Visa in Lhasa or at the border as suggested in the posts, what is the maximum length of duration for a Nepali visa? Thanks

You can buy the visa in Zhangmu, it's pretty straightforward,
at the border you'll find a visa office, they need 24 hrs and 30 US$.

from zhangmu walk or drive to Kodari and there jump on a bus to KTM.
there are daily buses, jeeps, etc

extending visa isn't an issue while you're in KTM.

to #2, they need 24 hrs to do the visa? initially i thought it was a "apply and go" at the nepal border.
so for those who are traveling from lhasa to nepal border, they will have to stay one night at Zhangmu?

thanks and cheers

sorry, just to clarify again, when u take a tour from lhasa to kathmandu, the 4WD only takes u to the nepali border right, and not all the way to kathmandu? so from the nepali border, u are suppose to travel yrself to kathmandu?

thanks

You can get a 30 days visa for Nepal, I think that was the question.
