China visa at Hong Kong airport?

Hey all,

Just a quick question, and sorry if it's already been answered. Can a Canadian get a Chinese visa for mainland China (the most basic one, it's only for a few days,) at the Hong Kong airport, or is it necessary to go into town? I kind of need an answer ASAP, so any help is appreciated. Also, if it's necessary to go into HK, how quick can it be issued, and how much? Thanks

I've always ended up going into town to get the Visa--> didn't ever matter to me 'cause I was spending a couple of nights in HK anyway. The JNTO (?) office in Kowloow does the Visa next day, and for a premium can do it it same day.

I know in my head how to get there, I'll have to go back to my notes to find the actual street location. Having said that a quick net search should sort you out.

???why

Everything you need to know about getting your visa in Hong Kong can be found at this link.. Better to get your mainland China visa before you go to China though.. Avoid the hassle and long lines..
