12 Month Business Visa info

I can get a 12 month business visa as a UK Citizen but where can I find out info about what work/business meetings/teaching etc I can legally do on this visa? Are there any links from Chinese Embassy or other info?
I plan to teach for a few hours a week if possible.

I would like to get a full time teaching job but I have tried but as I don't have a degree I can't get a work permit/visa. Of course this would be the easiest thing to do but I want to stay in China because of my girlfriend.

Business visas are for doing business. They are not for working or teaching.

If you are a native English speaker, then you should be able to get a teaching job in China. Look at the sticky message and Dave's ESL cafe.

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

actually it is legal to work on an F visa, at least the last time I asked/checked. BUT you're only supposed to do it a couple of hours / week and it certainly cant be your main occupation.

its just designed this way so that students (who sometimes have F visas) will have the chance to earn some money on the side while studying.

The school I was working at told me they couldn't get me a working visa as I don't have a degree though i was teaching there 6 weeks before they said this so I left when my tourist vosa expired. I am from UK, I would like to teach but I don't think it's possible.
I plan to get the 12 m F visa and maybe work a few hours a week if it's allowed, and live cheaply!

If you know where I can find info on the F Business visa, pls tell!
