Air Venture 2013 at OshkoshHi everybody,
Next week I am going to Chicago planning to visit the AirVenture at Oshkosh from July 29th to August 4th. I have a free week before that, any good plans to visit/enjoy? Travelling alone.
Thank you all!

1Take a drive through Door County.
Go see Madison.
Go see Frank Lloyd Wrights's Taliesin, near Spring Green, west of Madison.

2You could spend the whole week in Chicago and not see it all. Something for every taste

4I have goofy travel interests, but I'd want to go to a water park (eg Wisconsin Dells) or see the jumping carp on the Illinois river.
Madison is not bad but it is really just a college town an state capital. It's a fun place to spend a day but there is not much to it.
Thee are a couple of neat brewery tours in nearby Milwaukee. Wisconsin is known as the "Land of Lakes." so obviously it has lots of fishing, swimming and boating opportunities.

5Waterfest concert at the Leach Amphitheater on Thursdays. Mayor's Breakfast in Oshkosh.
Going to Dayton would take you 300 miles to the southeast. Since you only need to go 170 miles north, I 'd say it was out of your way.
I'd say your most logical stop would be Milwaukee. Lots to see and do; brewery tours, Harley museum, Art Museum, Milwaukee Public Market. Madison is cool too. What types of things are you looking for?
