trip to north panatelHello and greetings from Canada. I see that there have been several questions, so please be gentle while I ask my questions.
jim my husband myself have been researching for lost a year for a trip to the pantanel specifically to see the jaguars.
there are so many tours companies that its very difficult to know if the company is legit. has anyone taken a trip to the patanel re entry purposely visit the wetlands and see the jaguars? can anyone recommend a reputable company that offers a jaguar extreme tour?
thank you in advance for ant help......

2Yes, I took Tad's recommendation and went with Julinho at Pantanal Trackers. We saw 5 jaguars as well as a lot of other wildlife. He gets you into the areas where the jaguars can be seen. We camped on the yard of a local subsistence fisherman, accessible only via boat. A fantastic experience.
The Transpanteneira is a fantastic wildlife watching experience, but you should note that if your tour only travels along the Transpanteneira and adjacent fazendas, your chances of seeing a jaguar are slim at best. You have to go to remote areas on boats.
