should we go to Paraguay??We have about 5 weeks at the start of December to go from Lima to Santiago de Chile where we start a tour on the 8th of Jan. Our tour will head south to ushuaia before heading up to Buenos Aires so therefore we will see quite a bit of Argentina and Chile. Therefore I think we will spend these 5 weeks in Peru and Bolivia. We have been looking at maybe spending a week in Paraguay but at the moment have found very little info on buses in and around Paraguay and where to go.
Basically we would have to do either a circle trip back to Bolivia then down to Santiago or maybe head from Paraguay to salta to Santiago? OR do people think its better off just concentrating on Peru and Bolivia??
Please help! Very stuck! Thanks in advance!!!

1Paraguay is well off the beaten track and has far less to offer tourists than Peru and Bolivia, which could easily keep you occupied for five weeks. It is possible to get a bus from Bolivia to Paraguay, which starts at Santa Cruz which also stops at Villamontes in the far south-west of Bolivia. But this is not for the feint-hearted! If you were on a longer trip I would say give it a go, but in five weeks I would stick to Bolivia and Peru. Make sure you get to Uyuni!

2Plenty to do and see in Peru and Bolivia plus Argentina or Chile south to Santiago considering you've only got 5 weeks. Leave Paraguay for some other time. The only exception I'd make would be in order to see Iguazu if you decide to make time, but basically you're going to have your hands full as it is.
