Temperatures and other weather conditions in Santa Fe, late MarchHello! We are considering a trip to Santa Fe the last week of March (26th-30th). Knowing that every year is different of course, what should we expect for weather conditions? Will it be nice enough to do a lot of outdoors things? We will be with our two-year-old. How would we dress to be comfortable?
Most important, will it feel like a break from our long, cold, Chicago winter?? :)
Internet searches haven't really helped me so I would welcome any input from you!
Thanks so much!

1Well... looking out the window this morning it's snow flurries... two days ago it was sunny with a high of 50 F. In late March, the daytime highs will be in the 60s... There is always a possibility of today's conditions... Lotsa indoor things to do in Santa Fe, in the event of usually brief weather "events". So pack for spring & keep your attraction plans flexable... See you soon... carracar

3Hello! I think you ought to google or bing or ask (or +whatever+) the average temperature and climate conditions year-round in Santa Fe. It should give you a good idea of what to expect. Santa Fe is surrounded by mountains, and spring does come, so expect rain and storms, especially at nighttime in the mountains. The adobe city is warm for the most part during the day, though. Do bring coats, light jackets or sweaters for the sake of preparation, but expect a let-up from the wintry tortures of Chicago. Enjoy your New Mexico adventure! :)
