The most trodden-upon place in Western European
I was just reading an article about this....There is some debate over which is the most trodden-upon place in the world (top candidates are Mecca, the Conference of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers in India,Times Square in NYC or Shibuya crossing in Tokyo).
What would you say is the number one most walked on place in our region?

The path that leads to the front of the Eiffel tower ticket booth - justification = France is the most visited country in the world (for tourists), the Eiffel tower is their most visited attraction. If you're not restricting it to just tourist places, I'm gonna go for the Gare Du Nord concourse (most visited railway station by passenger numbers in the world) :)

Conversely--the least trod-upon place in the world: The Sea of Galilee. Total pedestrians: 1.10
Westminster Abbey to Piccadilly Circus is well trodden by tourists...Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower in Paris...
The Forum to Vatican City in Rome...
London, Paris and Rome are the Golden Triangle of Western Europe...and very well trodden.
