Im really sad to hear that the prices been increasing like that, its crazy! Just cant believe that they are doing that, hope it wont scare away to many fellow travellers! This country is simply toooo extrordinary!

When I was there 2011 I paid between 5-8 dollars a night, now it seems to be more like 15-20... Even in Bagan I only paid 6 us...

Hope ya will find cheaper accomodation than 20 us a night, but even if ya dont the local food and all drinks are dirt cheap! So 30-35 as a budget should be possible, maybe a little bit more the days ya use long-distance transportation...

I would like to know your itinerary and the cost incurred as I am also interested in going to Burma (on a budget).
