2Booking Flight to Lukla is not necessary to pay online right the time through your credit card. However on mean season October, November and March to May flight to Lukla is quite tight because of limited of Airlines, this mean only Tara Air is operate dally and Nepal airlines have only few flight a week. Other than Tara and Nepal Airlines have none operate flight to Lukla. If need further help to book ticket let me know.

There are two ways to book the Lukla flight from abroad:
Directly with the airlines - payment is not via a secure system which would make me reluctant.
Via a travel or trekking agent - again payment by card would be via email. As said though, it's possible for an agent to 'secure' a seat but is not committed to paying the airline until a few days before the flight (don't know exactly how long). If you will arrive a few days before then an agent might agree to do this for you. Then again, a few days is all that's needed to get a flight (except in high season or if there is a backlog from cancellations) but asking an agent in advance gives a better chance to get on the first flight ofthe day (which have the best chance of flying).
As for a recommendation, I understand it is OK for travellers who have used a company and have no commercial connection to give details when requested. So; I used Himalayan Magic Adventure for my last trek and the travel arrangements were spot on. I understand he has booked flights and taken payment in KTM. TAAN credentials and contact details here.
I have no doubt thet Jep's and cowantimmy's recommended agents are relaiabe and honest too...
Enjoy the trek.

6Thanks for the info all.
I'm trying to work out if I should pre-book my return flight... If I do book it, is it often possible to fly out earlier? I don't want to set a short timeframe for the trip, nor do I want to wait around for too many days.
Does anyone have any experience in resheduling? Thanks.
