eating over the kitchen sink...

there are things i'm sure we'd rather eat over the kitchen sink to minimise the mess. what do you eat standing in the kitchen?

i often eat oysters over the kitchen sink (like tonight right before dindin). and lichees. not ripe mangos though, i like them hard and sour.

In summertime, ripe peaches. It's such fun to just bite, sip and enjoy rather than place the peach in a bowl, slice and use a spoon or fork.

Also cookies, since comedic writer Erma Bombeck claimed that there are no calories counted for cookies eaten while standing.

Timely information just before Christmas!!!

Oranges are the main ones. I like to cut them in quarters and eat them like I'm a four year old rather than peel or eat with utensils.

I don't eat over my sink either. I just make sure to have a plate or bowl and plenty of paper towels on hand.

There are certain foods that have zero calories.

•cookie and cake crumbs
•anything eaten while standing in front of the refrigerator
•anything scarfed up while cleaning up after dinner. e.g. the last of the rice pilaf in the pot.

My grandmother used to say that nothing is fattening if you don't enjoy eating it. Could be why she always bought the same boring chocolate cake for dessert.
