Hello,

We have had to reign in our ambitious plans of travelling - not because of our over ambitious time scale oddly enough - but finances.

We will be ctting our trip in half and spending about ten days in the states rather than two weeks.

We will either be spending the time in Savannah, Charleston and in between, OR Boston, Maine and Burlington, Vermont.

We have travelled a lot of the states and would love to go somewhere really special - as all these places appear to be (Appreciate this is subjective - which is exactly the opinion we are looking for - the across the table in a bar - personal opinion from those in the know)

Autumn, you say......are you sure about that ?
If so make it New England.
Best time for the southeast is March, April and you don't
need to worry about Hurricane season.
enjoy your trip.

If you want to go swimming in the Atlantic, head south.

Hello all,

thank you again for all your helps and tips.

We have finally rested on a road trip around New England and we will be going around Christmas time rather than Autumn so as to enjoy the snow and the Christmas bits and bobs.

I will definitely report back with how it all went.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas.
