Ushuaia to Rio in two weeks, best itinerary please
Hi, looks as if I'll have to rapidly head north from Ushuaia in mid January to get to Rio within 2 weeks which is a push over such a distance without flying. My gut feeling is to head to BA first, then Montevideo and through to Paraguay to see Iguazu before crossing into Brazil and heading north to Rio, though I'd appreciate any advice here all
Thanks as ever

At least take a flight from Ushuaia to BA. The bus won´t be really cheaper3
And will make the journey much easier to complete in two weeks. You probably need 4-5 days in BA, and 2 full days in Puerto Iguazu for the falls (both sides). So that gives you probably a week to get to RIo - head to Paraty and Ilha Grande for that. Both close to Rio.4
You'd have to have a really, really good reason not to fly. Busing won't save you money, and it'll sure subject you to some boring landscapes. As suggested above, fly at least as far as B.A.On the other hand, if determined it is absolutely physically possible to bus from Ushuaia to Rio in two weeks, even including a stopover at the falls. You merely have to eliminate all extraneous activities and interests from your trip: no beaches, no colonial towns in the mountains, no activities or eating or socializing or sleeping late and eating breakfast in bed. Sound like fun? Ok: you know what to do.
The above includes some mild exaggeration for effect, but not much. Hope that's helpful.
