Winter weather in Buenos Aires

We've looked into the temperatures for BA in August when we'll be spending a week or so there, but we know that only tells one part of the story. What's the mood of the place actually like then? Is there a wintry feeling for the people who live there? Is it still fun to be out and about? Does it feel like Paris in the early spring? Or is it still enveloped in a winter mindset?
Thank you for your perspectives.

It'd be helpful if you had in your profile where you're from. If from Australia, it will be like Australian winter. If from the UK, it could be like 'Paris in the early spring' (although it won't be spring), or like late winter. For me, winter in BA isn't that bad. I'm used to lots of snow in winter, which I enjoy anyway.

I've never been there in the winter, but I've been there in the spring and fall. My only warning would be that Buenos Aires is a humid city, and even on some spring and fall days the weather more or less chilled me to the bone; it was the dampness that bothered me, not the temperature itself.

Temperature rarely drops below 5° but the wind can get pretty strong and chilly.

There are some days where the feeling sensation is really cold. It is unlikely for you to have these days but not impossible. There is not much heating in Buenos Aires and this makes a real cold day worse.
