Top of the Rock(efeller) and Rockefeller Center is same area -- too much time.
Guggenheim Museum also worth a visit in NYC.
I don't know how safe the Bronx is these days -- maybe parts are more safe than others.
Too much time touring Carnegie Hall -- is that a guided tour? Check out Lincoln Center -- State Opera House and Metropolitan.
While at Museum of Natural History, check out Riverside Drive, the Cathedral, Columbia University, and John Lennon's memorial.

Interestingly, the entire area from the monument to the Potomac used to be a swamp. One could still navigate the channels in a shallow-bottom boat. Near the base of the monument is a short, approx 1 meter, vertical pole with some kind of a horse's head on top, (it looks a little like a parking meter.)
A tour guide told me that back before the swamp was filled in that was where George Washington tied up his boat. I wouldn't know how to verify the story but I found the pole and it does look like something one would use for tying a boat.

Why go back to DC? It is southwest of Baltimore, further away from New York. This adds another 45 minutes - 1 hour to your trip.
FYI
"Statue Closed
Due to conditions created by Hurricane Sandy, Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island are currently closed. Although a projected reopening date has not yet been established, data from initial reports has determined it will not occur in 2012. "

Day 3: TOTR is at Rockefeller Center. They are not two separate places. It's "Broadway" not "Broadwalk". More accurately, it's the theater district, since Broadway runs for many miles.
Day 6: Congratulations! Performing at Carnegie Hall is a fabulous experience.
$9500 is way more than you need. Are you sure you didn't mean $950? If it's $950, is that supposed to also cover your hotel costs?
It's unclear which parts of your itinerary is at your discretion and which parts your group has planned for you.
It would be helpful to state when you are going on your trip as mentioned earlier.
Where are you going for tea in Brooklyn? You might want to go to a pizzeria in Brooklyn as some of NYC's best pizza is in that borough.
Maybe choose either Empire State Building or Top of the Rock if you did overstate your budget as they are both expensive and similar experiences.
If the OP does actually have a budget of $950 including hotels, perhaps they are staying in the Bronx due to budgetary concerns?

Sounds pretty good, just a few minor notes:- Sometimes the waiting period for the Empire State Building can be an hour or longer, meaning you should budget about 2 hours or at least be flexible about whatever comes next.
- I’m not really an art fan but I understand the MetMA requires 4-6 hours if you want to feel like you’ve done a sufficient part of it.
- I’m not sure foreigners can still get tours of the WH. The tour of the capitol is free and starts every 15 mins or so. It’s well worth taking the guided tour. (100% guaranteed.)
- The capitol and the Supreme Court are across the street from each other. It makes no sense to go all the way to the monument (which might be closed) and then all the way back to the Supreme Court. I didn’t think the Supreme Court tour was all that interesting.
- There are several museums right in that part of DC that are both free and excellent. You might want to spend an extra day in DC and skip the NYC museums altogether.
- I’m not sure what “story time with the urban pirates” means. Baltimore’s Inner Harbor is an excellent (although somewhat costly) location. I never skip the aquarium (said to be the second best in the world). Additional locations/activities depend on the weather. It’s also a great place for seafood (McCormicks is convenient) or for pasta in nearby Little Italy.
Yes your budget will be enough unless you go crazy in NYC .

Attend musicals(Wicked and Ghost)@ Broadwalk
You will probably have to pick just one musical. The only way you can fit 2 in a day is to attend a matinee (a show at 2 or 3 in the afternoon), eat something and sightsee, then attend an evening show.Drive from NYC to DC
Arrive @ 1130
This drive takes about four hours when there is very little traffic. You are assuming that the car and you are both ready to go no later than 7:30 in the morning. You are also assuming that you will not need a break during the drive, and you assume it will be easy to find parking in Washington, DC. Add another hour or 2 to be safe.Arrive @ 1130
Why go back to DC? It is southwest of Baltimore, further away from New York. This adds another 45 minutes - 1 hour to your trip.
Ntl Museum of American History(3h)
No such thing in New York. There is the American Museum of Natural History, but the only history you will find there is some history of science and some history of non-western peoples. There are also several excellent musuems about New York history. See this list for a start.
8
American Museum of Natural History includes history of the Native American peoples/Indians with dioramas of villages, clothing styles, archaeological artifacts. If you visit the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., you may find some redundancy. Both are outstanding museums. Natural history is also types of animals that inhabited North America from the dinosaur era to present day. Geology and botany are also included.9
How early next year is this trip?FYI

Unless you have a specific reason for going to the Bronx (Bronx Zoo) in my opinion you are wasting your time.11
For Day 2: The MET is huge and is like many museums within a museum. You will want more time there. You also don't want to try to do a second museum in the same day. Note that the museums are in Manhattan, so no need to travel to Manhattan :) Times Square is not a great place for food. It's overpriced, crowded, touristy and most of the food is not very good. You're already visiting it on day one. Eat somewhere else rather than returning there for dinner on day 2.Day 3: TOTR is at Rockefeller Center. They are not two separate places. It's "Broadway" not "Broadwalk". More accurately, it's the theater district, since Broadway runs for many miles.
Day 6: Congratulations! Performing at Carnegie Hall is a fabulous experience.

It's unclear which parts of your itinerary is at your discretion and which parts your group has planned for you.

It looks like you should check the locations of all the places you want to visit on a map (google maps) so you could set up a more sensibly ordered itinerary. You might also want to check what is on the itinerary planned by the school so you don't have unnecessary duplication of sites visited. It would be helpful to state when you are going on your trip as mentioned earlier.
Where are you going for tea in Brooklyn? You might want to go to a pizzeria in Brooklyn as some of NYC's best pizza is in that borough.

Im arriving at 4th April in NYC, and the 9500 is for dinner, entrance fees and entertainment... The school got us our hotels already... And the school's itinerary is mostly in LA after the NYC performance. I can request to change the hotel from Bronx to Manhattan though i would have to for out 200USD.ADVERTISEMENT
