Seeing football in Brazil

My wife and I and are two daughters will be traveling in Brazil for 3 weeks leaving dec 13 and including about a week in Belo Horizonte, Tiradentes, Ouro Preto, a few days on the beach in Guarapari, a couple of nights in Teresopolis and ending with 5 nights in Rio.

We'd like to see a football game but I'm having trouble figuring out when teams play and where. Do the teams play during the holiday period? Should we take a tour to a game or go ourselves? I cant seem to find a website with a schedule of games. Any help will be much appreciated!

The domestic season is over, it finished last Sunday. State chamionships won't start until about the third week in January. You've missed it.

Looking online seems like Serie A league just ended. I've been trying to find a schedule of sorts for games in Rio but am having trouble finding just a set schedule.

Any good website to use??

Thanks for any help

Yes go on the o globo website, they cover Fluminense, who are national champions, Botafogo, and Vasco da Gama, as well as Flamengo.
Find fixtures on there.
