Not exactly. Shuttles are, to my knowledge, non-existent other than to local hotels which are still far from San Francisco, since the area is a ways from the city.

You could try to take the BART ($8.25) and get on a Greyhound bus from somewhere in San Francisco near the embarcadero which may be close enough to walk depending on your luggage but may require a private cab, and then change buses in Fresno to Sacramento. With advanced purchase, non-refundable, it's $20 one-way. With refundables, it's $51. That's just part of the trip! Fresno - Sac is $14 with non-refundable, if advanced purchased. It's $51 if you want this to be refundable.

So that could be between about $45 at its most conservative estimate. It would be a pretty long journey, unfortunately.

Amtrak from SF near the Financial District to Sacramento is cheaper at $31 + Bart from SFO (8.25) with NO checked luggage = about $40, again provided that you can walk from the Bart to the Amtrak station. If you need a cab, that will bump costs. It's also a bit of work. At least it's pretty flat. If you add luggage, no more than 2 pieces for $20.

There are also planes that fly directly to Sacramento from SFO, but I haven't seen any for under $150.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

Didn't know about the shuttle and haven't looked. What's the rate? I'm curious!

Downtown SF to Sacramento via Fresno??? Strange. Unnecessary. There are direct busses, with as little as one stop, taking a bit over 2 hours Advanced purchase fares as low as $8, according to Greyhound.com. Stil need to get to donwtown SF, but if you look at Bart.gov and Muni Web site you should be ble to get to the bus station easily enough without a cab. I personally would take the train, but that would cost more (about $30), and involve first an Amtrak bus to Emeyville then train to Sacramento. Note that most of the Amtrak pick-up points in SF other than the Ferry Building are outdoor bus stops without shelter. You could also rent a car, but you would want to drop it off at a downtown Sac location, since getting into town from the airport can be expensive or time-consuming.

They both claim they do SFO to Sac area service. The fastest inexpensive way would be to take BART from SFO to connect with Amtrak in the east bay, I am not clear about how this works and the east bay stations would be iffy at night, then you would still need transport from the train station to wherever you are going. These shuttles should give the best service, depending on how many people it will be $100 +, and around two hours.

You could also take the CalTrain south from SFO to San Jose and catch the Capitol Corridor train directly to Sacramento. Otherwise, BART to the East Bay, then Capitol Corridor.

Megabus is starting SF to Sacramento service on Dec. 12.

The bus departs from the San Francisco Caltrain Station at 700 4th Street. It's a bit cumbersome, but you can take BART to the Caltrain station at Millbrae & then take Caltrain to the Megabus pick up spot.

The Sacramento drop off point is in Old Sacramento, not far from the AMTRAK station. Local buses and light rail trains stop at the station, and there are usually taxis there as well.

Take BART from SFO to Richmond in the East Bay .The AMTRAK station is in the same building in Richmond. Take AMTRAK to Sacramento.

AMTRAK Capital Corridor. There are 15 trains a day from Richmond to Sacramento on weekdays and 10 on weekends & holidays.

Booking the Capital Corridor through the Amtrak site, you can include the Amtak bus from SF to Emeryville as well as the train, but maybe you can save a bit by just taking BART to Emeryville or Richmond and getting on the train there. CC site in #8 says the trains are unreserved so you could just buy a ticket when you get to the station (and not have to worry about just when you'd arrive). I don't like bus travel, but Greyhound or Megabus could be worth considering.
