Brazil Airpass

Hello
Can you buy a Brazilian Airpass without holding an International ticket on that specific airline?
It seems that for TAM and Star Alliance you need also an international ticket with them to be able to purchase an airpass. As I am flying stand by on a cargo airline I only need the airpass within Brazil.
Thks

No, I believe you must have purchased an international ticket to get the airpass, Azul has run occasional promotions in the past that work like a domestic airpass where you got X number of legs or destinations within a given time frame, usually a month. Admittedly I haven't seen one advertised in quite some time.

You haven't stated when you are travelling, but at some times and depending which routes within Brazil you intend to fly, the cost of individual flights can be less than that of legs on an airpass. Do check individual fares online.

#1: I do believe the air pass must be bought before leaving one's home country, but I think the question was whether the international flight had to be on the same airline as the Brazil airpass. I assume OP is not arriving on TAM or Gol. I haven't bought the air pass in years, but when I did, I arrived in Brazil on American Airlines and bought an airpass on Varig. OP: you could contact TAM offices closest to you (probably London or Paris).

Thks all
Contacted TAM in Paris and they told if you don't have an international ticket of an airline affiliated with them (out of the Star Alliance group) you can’t buy de pass :-(
So I will have to book individual flights...

That is not the only airpass available, iirc. Try GOL.

Hello,

The Brasil Air pass is available to anyone residing outside Brasil holding a valid international ticket number flying into Brasil.
You do not need to have an international ticket flying with Tam Airlines to have access to the Air pass. Any Airline ticket will do it.
Tam Airlines has 2 different levels of prices for the Air pass. The first one is for those passengers who are flying Tam Airlines into Brasil, and a second one is for passengers flying with any other carrier into Brasil .
You must have a positive space airline ticket to purchase the Air pass.
