Right now here in Bonn, Germany, we have nuffink...
Here in Milan? Mostly cigarette butts and dog crap.
But I notice the snow line has been slowly creeping down the mountains in the distance...
Its getting cold though...for here at least.14-15° today.....
All city centers are free of snow, however.
There is much snow in the Alps and chances are good that it will not smelt within the next weeks.

In Amsterdam just enough to make things white-ish. But supposedly up north (that is to say, just outside city limits) there is about 5 cm.4
In Toulouse, dead leaves and the usual garbage (see Milan above) and some puddles from yesterday's rain. It was 5°C this morning, but the sun is shining.6
In Palermo, apart from a few dead pigeons, much the same as in Milan and Toulouse. Its getting cold though...for here at least.14-15° today.....

In southern Umbria, the Tevere (Tiber) is back in its banks but there is still some clearing up going on and some properties are badly damaged by the floods of 12 November. Can't believe how many trees have been flattened by the flood waters. We had a seriously vicious squall yesterday with hail storm, lightning and winds strong enough to blow over some giant plant pots on the street, but all back to normal in an hour. -1 last night, -3 tonight and snow reported in the Apennines above 1000 metres. Hoping to share Aribo's 25C.8
contrary to fwoggie, I can confirm there's a hint of snow both west and east of Bonn, though obviously you can't compare city to countryside. 'real' snow should get going tomorrow, but alas won't last for long...9
Bonn now has the lightest of light dustings. Not enough to get even the most severely affected Attention Deficit Disorder kid excited.10
The Zurich sledding pist going down from Uetliberg to Triemli has been opened yesterday. All city centers are free of snow, however.
There is much snow in the Alps and chances are good that it will not smelt within the next weeks.

Re my previous post #8 ,I have since been over to Viterbo and Montefiascone in north Lazio this afternoon - despite the bright sun, there was a thin covering of snow in hedges, parked cars and pavements that had missed the sun. Seems to be local within about a 10km radius. Do I get the prize for the most southerly snow of the winter so far??
