Gangnam Sights

Probably the most world famous area of Seoul at the moment:)!

Just going to Seoul for 5 days next month, is it actually worth taking a trip to this area however?

What are the main sights to see?

Gangnam means south of the river. There is a big conference facility there (COEX), but if you do not have a conference to attend, then probably no point to going. Lotte World Amusement Park is one of the major sights.

Like the others said, Apgujeong and COEX. Other than that, there's not many 'sights.' It's famous because of it's wealth, concentration of business and its nightlife. So you can go and see the buildings and busy streets during the day, and see the lights and have some fun at night. But it's not really a place to go sightseeing. The areas north of the river are the places to do sightseeing (palaces, Insadong, Cheonggyecheon, Namsan, Myeongdong, Namdaemun, Namdaemun market etc).

Thanks:). I like doing a bit of street photography, so might be worth checking it out.
