Gentle yoga for older folks in Rishikesh

Okay, any suggestions for retired folks who want to stay a couple of nights in an ashram in Rishikesh and do a few gentle yoga (very gentle) classes? Not inexperienced with yoga, but not as flexible as in our 30s.

The Dayanand Ashram may suit you, where Yoga is just one of the activities. Located on the banks of the river, they have an early morning prayer and an evening prayer. Food is self service and at fixed times. There is a library, a store and there are no restrictions on going out during your stay. It is relatively quieter than the busier Parmarth Niketan and probably has a better location than the Shivananda Ashram. You get ensuite rooms with mattresses and blankets. There is no compulsion to participate in any of the rituals. There are opportunities to volunteer for sundry chores in the kitchen

Thanks for the helpful info. I wrote to the ashram and received a response, so plan on going there.

The biggest thing I found for students of any age at those ashrams is to not push past your limit. My Indian teachers didn't understand that my body just doesn't move that way so it was up to me to say "no" and be good to my body.
