Honeymoon 1 month from/to Rome. Need suggestions!
Hi!We're planning our honeymoon. And we'd love to hear some ideas!
The only things we know for sure are:
-we'll be taking a month for it, around March/April 2013
-we'll be arriving and departing from Rome. (We are from Buenos Aires, that's our cheapest option to Europe, also, a gift).
As for what we are up for:
-We do want to see Rome, and the south coast of Italy. We have this idilic image of the italian countryside, riding a bike, sipping wine...
-We are very intrigued by Morocco imaginary.
-We want to enjoy some days at a beach.
We are independent travellers, we like to use airbnb as to find accomodation (not only cheaper but, to meet the locals), we'd like to spend no more than 80€ a day (accomodation and food), we always look for the cheaper way to travel. We love markets, art, and culture.
So, we know this is really an open question, but, experienced travellers of the forum: what would you do? Any dream trips we may give a try?
Thanks from the heart!

You could easily spend the whole time in Italy.Art,culture,markets,food.
Still...your budget is not high (80 euros a day for 2...not each?).
And it will be too cold to go to the beach then.....

What do you call the South coast of Italy? Puglie? Basilicata? Calabria? Sicilia (Island)? Be prepared to some rainy days and to sea water much too cold for a swim at any place of the Mediterranean Sea (as Luca told you). Why do you mention Morocco? Morocco is far away from Italy, although there are round trip flights from Rome to Marrakech for as less as 200 EUR/260 USD/pax (http://www.ryanair.com).

Thank you for reading and replying!!We can strech our budget a little, to 100-120 euro per day (for both). We plan to eat a lot of pizza and sandwiches, and couch surf! Anyway, budget was to describe our traveling profile, I'm looking for suggestions and ideas on cities and routes between them.
We thought of Morocco because we want to see something that is really exotic to us!
We discarded the beach. Yes, it's going to be too cold. Maybe we can see the mountains then?
Thank you all in advance!!

The mountains are some 800 kms north of Rome and the Greek theatres and temples, castles and scenic towns and villages of Southern Italy are some 800 kms south of Rome.Morocco: if you only want to go in the Sahara desert (sand dunes, camel riding, etc.) you may also take a ferry from Sicily to Tunisia (in the case you visit Southern Italy).
Ferry Trapani - Tunis, train or bus Tunis - Tozeur, then Nefta or Douz.
