tips on Kayaking in Eastern Europe

Hello Everybody,

This summer my girlfriend and me are planning on a kayak-vacation in Eastern Europe. Were only just in the orientation phase and i was just wondering if anyone here has some good tips for us. Were planning on doing it as cheap as possible, so were looking for a cheap country, and would like to combine a week of kayaking from campsite to campsite with another week relaxing/backpacking from city to city. Has anybody here done something like this before and in wich country? Do you know if it would be possible to go kayaking for a week without a guide?
We hope to hear from you guys!

Ilse

Google for Tara river and Soča river rafting, both are popular for this activities (with all camping/kayaking infrastructure developed), and stunningly beautiful.

Sea Kayaking off the Croatian Islands maybe? I know you can just hire a kayak for a week as i have looked in to it myself.

Poland has quite a few interesting rivers&lakes with camping infrastructure aimed at multi-day routes. Simply google "kayaking Poland" and you'll find links to tourist info and companies.
