Chinese Visa for Australian in USAHello everyone,
Does anyone know if an Australian citizen can get a Chinese visa in the USA?
I'm an Australian citizen who is planning a big trip around the world for the next nine months. I leave Australia on 9th May and am travelling to the UK and USA before hitting China on the 23rd July. I can't get a Chinese visa in Australia because it will expire by the time I try and enter the country. Theproblem is that the Chinese embassy in New York has told me I have to have a Green Card in order to get a visa through them.
Any help is much appreciated,
Happy and safe travels to you all :)

11. Will you stop in Hong Kong before entering Mainland China. If so, you can get the Chinese visa there.
2. A single entry 30 day Chinese visas is usually valid for 3 months, so if you apply for a visa at the end of April, it will still be valid until end of July. Then, when you enter China, you can stay for as long as the number of days the visa is valid for (for example 30 days if it is a 30 day visa).
3. Besides Hong Kong and some other SE Asian cities, applying for a Chinese visa outside of your country of residence is increasingly difficult.
