Aw jeez! I'm sorry, I didn't realize that there was a second page of the discussion. My apologies!

We've since changed our minds and have decided that we will do three cities, a week in each. We know that we will spend a week in Istanbul and a week in Paris (as my camera is in dire need to aim, point, and click at "Paris in the Spring time.") However, we are still trying to decide on our third city. We have considered the Croatian coast, southern Italy (Naples, Capri, Almafi coast), and Vienna. We are still undecided.

As far as criteria:
-We love big cities (that are close to coast lines so that when the hustle and bustle becomes too much, we can escape for a day on the beach)
-Art
-History (especially ancient ruins.... loved that about Athens!)

Thank You,
April

One week in Paris, then fly to Istanbul, then use 3rd week for somewhere else in Turkey proper. Cappadocia in the interior is just wonderful for photos, you could go to the coast for possible beach weather but also ancient Greek ruins. I simply love Turkey and found it to be a joy to visit and there is loads to see. I am not familar with the weather there in April/May, you'd need to research that. its an easy place to visit, travel around in and after a week in Istanbul it'd be nice to explore other parts of the country. You won't be sorry.
