Iguaçu Falls border visa for barsil
I will be in Argentina for 17 days in December. I plan to fly to Iguaçu Falls and back, from Buenos Aires. I plan to spend 4 days there. I plan to see it from both sides. As a Canadian I will need a visa for Brazil entry, right? How fast, easy are they to obtain? Do i get it at the border in Iguaçu Falls or is there a consulate in town? OR would it be better for me to do this in Buenos Aires while I am there before I arrive in Iguaçu Falls?
If I stay on the Argentinian side what is the earliest I can make it to the Brazilian side in the morning taking in to account public transit and the border crossing? As a photographer I value the early morning light so I might decide to spend a night on the Brazilian side if I can't get there early enough.
Similarly if I am on the Brazilian side until evening are there any difficulties in getting return transportation to the Argentinian side? Are the taxistas there fond of overcharging tourists?

Jeez, i couldn't even spell 'Brasil' properly in the Subject line. Be easy on me folks!!2
No need to Brazil Visa if you are just visiting the Falls on Brazil side, as long as you don't go further into Brazil. You will get at temporary visitor Visa for the day at the border crossing. Brazilian border agents are very relaxed at this crossing.Public transportation is once an hour maybe during peak season. There are also taxis on both sides, yes, you will have to pay more and negotiate in Portuguese.

That I'm not sure. I think you are okay if spend a night, you may want to ask at the border. If you take a bus further into Brazil, there are police check points, then you will be in trouble.
