That is going to be quite busy all the time so I guess early on a Sunday morning would be best. St John's Wood is the nearest tube or Maida Vale depending on where you are coming from.

Will always be people there and don't let the tired neighbors tell you it's the 2nd cross walk. It isn't. It's the first crosswalk as she turns right at Grove End. Nearly outside the studio gate. I'm sure she'll enjoy the messages that cover the outside gate pillars and wall to the Abbey Road Studios. St John's Wood is the closest tube stop.

Best time for an Abbey Road zebra crossing shot, is around lunch time Mon-Fri in the winter.
In the summer, around 8-9pm is good.
Don't forget, if there are 4 of you.... One walker 'Must' be bare footed, or it doesn't count ! !

Yep, London is a pretty spectacular city, expensive or not, my favorite on the planet. Always evolving and yet remaining the same.

As a side issue, I wonder if that is the only Zebra crossing in the country that most cars don't routinely stop at when there are people waiting to cross. I know I don't...

If they don't stop and get caught on camera, they'll get a ticket ! !

No tickets after all these years. I stop if anyone actually ventures out on to the crossing, but nine times out of ten they don't want cars in their photos so they don't want you stopping there. And I suspect the only cameras are the hordes of tourists standing at either side of it...
