where to stay/train

We need to return our leased car back to the Charles De Gaulle Airport by 10.00a.m. Can anyone suggest somewhere to stay out of Paris but still close enough that we should be able to get the car back in time. We are then heading over to London on the eurostar train. Am I correct in thinking we should be able to catch the RER B train from the airport to Gare du Nord station, get off there to catch the other train to London.? If this is correct, any idea how long we should allow to do all this (ie do we book a 3.00pm eurostar traindeparture time to allow for hiccups)
Many thanks.

There are loads of chain hotels in the airport zone -- google the Accor site or booking.com.

Yes, you can then get the RERB at the airport to the Gare du Nord. Once you are in the train, it takes about 30 minutes to the train station. A 3:00 pm train allows more than enough time for hiccups, and even a meal in a restaurant near the station.

Or you can take a TGV from CDG to Lille and then a Eurostar to London. It might be a good idea to have a lunch Lille.

Depending on your car rental company, it may be worth asking them if they will let you drop the car at Gare du Nord (or any other downtrown location in Paris) rather than CDG, either that day or the day before.
