Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao

HI All

I am a newcomer to the Thorn Tree Travel Forum as of today. I have a query about the best way to get to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. We will be travelling from the UK and I can't seem to find any information on how to get there. Don't mind which we go to first but any information on where flights go to and from will be much appreciated. Also I see that the best time to go is December to March. What is the weather like outside those months? we are not fly and floppers but want to avoid bad weather if we can

Many thanks

Karen

Hi kwardabeosolutions!

Welcome to TT!

You can travel to Aruba and Curaçao from several airports in the UK with KLM (changing planes in Amsterdam).
If you don't bother to purchase two separate tickets, Arkefly has also flights out of Amsterdam. Arkefly flies to Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire.
There are also options changing planes in the USA. Take a look at the web of American Airlines.

The weather is great all year in the ABC islands and it never gets very rainy so no need to worry much about which season to visit in.

I would suggest a round-trip cruise from UK to Caribbean - P&O Oceana has one (35-night) from Jan 2 through Feb 6). Well, the trick is - prices start from L2800 pp :))

35 days off in a row would be a pretty big trick for those of us gainfully employed as well, at least those of us from the U.S. :)

The islands are popular Dec-March because its cold up in the northern latitudes, not because thats the best time to be down there. Except for possibly September, when the cooling trade winds die down, any month is good to be there, with temperatures in the 80's to 90's (farenheit) year round.
